NOT YOU AT ALL

Once you see how things are,
You turn away.

This is natural.

Not because you’re bored or disgusted.
Or fed up or afraid.

Or lack understanding about what is happening.

You give up,

Because the you, you thought was there,
And all those things you thought you had to be,
The feelings and sensations you thought you were supposed to experience,
Turned out to be nothing but a steady, ceaseless flow,
Of attachment and desire.

And not you at all.
