THE MOON, THE SUN AND THE TURTLE

The moon, who had been working all night, went away.

The sun came up and shared it’s light everywhere.

The turtle, sitting on rock by the stream, felt the warmth of the sun and was grateful.

“I think I’ll take it slow today” thought the Turtle

“Today is a good day to take things slow.”

“Some things won’t get done today,

I will let them slide,

Because today the sun is shining on my back on this rock near the stream.”

Patience in these things is everything.

The sun shone all day,

And the turtle was happy,

And when the moon came up,

The turtle said good night.
