BEST BIT

Bright, resplendent sunshine fell on us,
As did the last of the fall leaves,
Yellow, amber, ruby red and scarlet,
Swirling in the air,
Before coming to rest.
We,
Talking a bit,
Of things happening,
Now and in the future,
With no need of resolution or settling,
Just the peace of one’s family,
And the calm knowing of one another’s story.
A brief but best happiness,
As one can find.
