We say these words,
I love you.
Sometimes daily
not always with the sincerity
we meant the first time.
But still,
not a lie.
I love you.
Can be a prayer,
an incantation,
a ritual to invoke,
Everything enchanted.
You say it.
They say it back.
And momentarily,
like a reflex,
Your faith expressed.
Not so much in each of you
But both of you
together.
