THE MOMENTUM OF PRACTICE

THE MOMENTUM OF PRACTICE

We do it over and over again,

Some of us every day,

Or some 3 or 4 times a week,

But no matter what,

We show up.

Sometimes with great expectation,

And other times with little or no hope at all.

Sometimes all we can do is sit in a chair and move our arms,

Other times we move with the fire of Zeus.

Faith, spirit, flow and the unseen energies we crave,

Are like that,

They build up in that space,

We make in practice.

It is not an activity,

That we put down or tradeoff for other things.

Building something great inside you,

Can’t wait.

It’s like my friend said,

The Colorado river,

Didn’t make the Grand Canyon,

By waiting until if felt like it.
