TOWARDS THE LIGHT

It is not,
Freedom
Or having will,
Or following the science
To support human life above all else,
That makes us most human
and alive.
It is our faith
in the good
and the birthing of love in ourselves
and others.
Realized when we create
or make something good.
Leaving us speechless
in wonder.
At what we have done.
Something unseen
now present,
That leads us up and away from ourselves
and inevitably,
Towards the light.
