WHAT TO DO PART 2

We think we know what we’re doing.

When we make these choices,

Our partners, our jobs, what to do next.

What is it I should do?

All these things.

But we know so little about

What could possibly happen.

Just do it.

Do the work, passion will come.

Follow your passion.

The things we say before we step off into what –

The air?

Or a misdirected current we didn’t see coming.

You know, the stuff they mean when they say,

Unintended consequences.

Or maybe we can use the data we’ve collected,

So much of it stuffed into closets,

That we are stunned when we pull something out

And say, oh, yeah, I was a part of this or that

And it moved me so,

That I tucked it away in here so I’d remember –

The people, the soft light, the uncontrollable laugh,

The hug after

Held firm or tight and always longer than usual.

It is ALWAYS these things that we might do together

That can guide us

If we let them.
