WHAT YOU DIDN’T SEE

Standing on that bridge,
At your wit’s end,
Wondering,
What have I done?
They’d be better off without me.
Suddenly,
You notice someone in the water far below,
Your perspective shifts,
Discarding your contrived lens of failure,
You rush down, jump in the water,
And pull them out.
Everything you thought you knew,
Is gone.
In its place,
A world different but the same,
Enlightenment,
So often misunderstood,
Has been given to you.
