HALLOWEEN PART 2

Day after Halloween.
My least favorite,
Holiday?
Celebration?
Yet, it’s nice.
Neighbors stop by
With their children,
And their dogs,
Smiles all around.
Look at us,
Sharing candy,
With everyone,
A Jedi,
A spider,
An inmate,
A hobo.
Some of them,
Stranger than others.
Like all celebrations,
It’s a reminder,
Things can be different,
If we put forward
Some effort.
We can show ourselves,
And share what we have.
As if love and kindness,
Were real,
And worth doing.
