BECOME THE IMPOSSIBLE

There is no greater act of faith
Then to devote yourself to working to become
What you cannot possibly see yourself as right now.
How do we do that?
What convinces us we could become that?
What spark is in us that lets us believe
In something that will be made visible by our own,
Sweat, hands, feet, mind, churning like,
It’s gotta be in there somewhere,
Buried beneath all this other stuff.
Somehow.
We believe we can become,
Someone else.
Someone not here right now but will be later,
Someone that will deliver on the hope and promise,
Of every one of us.
That will provide a light,
So that we ALL can become what,
Right now, we can only hope,
Might possibly be true.
