WHAT A FEELING

170,000 years ago, people began covering themselves.

A little while later,

Personalization started to appear.

People wanted to be identified as part of their tribe.

In 2026,

Power people,

People who want other people to know they’re serious people,

Wear suits.

In certain situations, we feel better when people are in suits.

Walk into a bank with a deposit to make and imagine everyone working at the bank wearing a loincloth, and you’ll know what I mean.

How we make others feel, how we feel, is serious business.

Empires are constructed on feeling,

Millions are spent learning to understand, control, manipulate and express our feelings.

Yet many of us still wonder,

What it means exactly,

To have a feeling.

The Buddhists would ask,

Who is doing the feeling?

In mystery shows on television,

The detective has a feeling,

About who did it.

But perhaps none of this is that important

And really,

Just a feeling.
